IMPORTANT: Updating the APN is not needed, unless specifically provided in your eSIM Activation Email. If you have any doubts, please Contact Us before making changes to your settings.
To update the APN (APN Name) for your eSIM plan, please follow the steps below.
Update APN on iOS (Apple iPhone)
- Open Settings
- Go to Cellular
- Under Cellular Plans, tap the eSIM plan. (It may be called Personal or Secondary.)
- Tap Cellular Data Network on the next screen.
- In the APN field, enter the name provided in your activation email or by Maya Mobile Support. If there is anything in the Username and Password fields, delete it. Only the APN/Name is required.
- Tap Back at the top left to save the configuration.
- Turn on Airplane Mode and wait 30 seconds, then switch off again. This will force the device to re-connect to the cellular network. Wait up to 15 minutes for the eSIM data plan to successfully authenticate and begin receiving 4G/LTE data.
Update APN on Android
- Open Settings
- Go to Mobile Networks
- Tap your new eSIM plan, then go to Access Point Names
- Tap Menu, then tap 'Add' or 'New APN'
- In the first field called APN, enter the name provided in your activation email or by Maya Mobile Support. If there is anything in the Username and Password fields, delete it. Only the APN/Name is required.
- Return to the previous screen and select the new APN.
- Restart the device to initialize a connection to the network.
